Achilles

A tactical-themed iOS macro and workout tracker. Achilles combines goal-driven onboarding, on-device daily logging of meals, water, supplements, and workouts, and curated meal/workout recommendations into a fast, single-purpose training companion.

What it is

Achilles is a SwiftUI iOS app for the trainee who wants serious macro and workout tracking without bloat. Onboarding calibrates calories and macros to your goal (cut, bulk, recomp, maintain, or athletic performance), and the rest of the app is built around fast daily logging and clear progress signals.

Design language

Tactical: matte-black background, military olive and electric-amber accents, monospaced stat readouts, sharp corners, snappy spring animations. The HUD-like aesthetic isn't decoration — it's a deliberate UX choice that reads quickly under load.

What it tracks

  • Macros. Calories and P/C/F by meal slot (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack), with proximity alerts at 80% and 95% of targets.
  • Food database. 300-400 curated entries spanning whole foods, popular shake brands, supplements, and prepared meals.
  • Water. Daily target with quick-log buttons.
  • Supplements. Configurable daily stack with adherence tracking.
  • Workouts. Sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weight, RPE, and weekly volume by muscle group.
  • Body metrics. Weight trend, plus optional body-fat tracking.

Recommendation engine

Curated catalogs of 80-120 exercises, workout templates, and meals are filtered by goal, available days, and remaining macros. A "Still hungry?" card surfaces meal options that fit the day's remaining budget.

On-device by design

All data is stored locally via SwiftData. No account required, no backend, no cloud lock-in. CloudKit sync can be added in a future version without changing the data model.
